Q: Are Shutters Blackout?
A: No, when the louvres are closed there will be a small amount of light bleed. They are sufficient for most customers but we do offer a complete blackout solution by meas of an integrated pleated blackout blind.
Q: Is the online quote the final price?
A: Most of the time yes, the only time it could change is if incorrect measurements have been entered or you choose to upgrade your shutters at the ordering stage. All prices quoted will always be inclusive of fitting costs and VAT.
Traditionally, blind and shutter companies would come out for a site visit to give you a quote, this could typically take 1-2 hours. By using our price calculator, you know the quote before we visit. This saves time and money and we can pass these savings on to you.
Q: What is the lead time from ordering to fitting?
A: The lead time on our most popular hardwood shutters is around 8 weeks, and 3-4 weeks on our UK made PVC shutters.
Q: Can I operate the tops and bottom slats separately?
A: Yes, we encourage you to opt for a split opening or midrail so that you can fully control your light and privacy.
Q: Do shutters take light away from my room?
A: No, generally white or lighter colours will actually bounce light into the room and make it feel brighter, but will equally darken the room when the louvres are closed.
Darker coloured shutters, darker wood tones and dark greys can make a room darker but with 5 slat sizes to choose from a bigger slat will help bring in light.
Q: Can I Have Shutters Fitted to my Doors?
A: Yes there are a few different options including sliding, bifolding and french cut out. All options have their pros and cons but we will talk you through all the options.
Q: Can You Make Shutters To Shaped Windows?
A: Yes, we can make shutters for pretty much any window shape or size.
